Easter is almost here! For many it means eggs filled with candy and fluffy bunnies and ham. All fun things. But I hope you take a moment wherever you are to remember what it’s really all about. About a man who was willing to do everything just right. Not for himself, not for the paycheck or the glory. But because of his love for each of us. And I hope even amidst the sugar craze and the family drama, you let that thought inspire you to be better too.
Precious Savior – here is my heart.
Take it kindly and do your part.
Do what you need to make it yours.
Do what you need to make it more.
More kind and loving, and trusting too.
More willing to do what you need me to do.
More able to recognize the things that mislead.
More willing to help those around me in need.
More willing to follow the Father’s Great Plan.
More willing to do all that I can.
More willing to shun the world’s wicked ways
And follow you always – till the end of my days.
More willing to Heed the Prophet’s bold call.
More willing to care for the helpless and small.
More willing to go where you need me to go.
More willing through hard times and trials to grow.
More full of hope, and loving goodwill.
More willing to climb my own Calvary’s Hill.
And when you’ve molded and mended, and made it all Yours
Protect it and make sure it always adores
The things that are good, the things that are right.
The things that are pleasing in your precious sight.
The things that will lead me straight back to you.
The things that the Father wants me to do.
So precious Savior – here is my heart.
Take it kindly and do your part.
Do what you need to make it more.
Do what you need to make it all Yours.
